Mail Security Upgrades

Navpoint is rolling out security upgrades which will require some users to change the outgoing port on their mail program to 587. If the client you use is not listed or if you have any questions you can reach us at 215-836-4600 or Click Here to request support.

Microsoft Outlook 2007

1. Select Tools > Accounts Setting

2. On the E-mail Accounts Settings Window select the email account

3. Select "SMTP Outgoing mail server"

4. Select "Change..." 

5. Select "<strong">More Settings"

6. Select the "<strong">Advanced" tab

7. Change "<strong">Outgoing server (SMTP)"  to 587

8. Select "<strong">OK", "Next", and "Finish"

 

Microsoft Outlook 2010/2013

1. Select "Account Settings"  in the File Menu and select the "Account Settings" dropdown arrow

2. Select the e-mail account and then click the "Change" button.

3. Select the "More Settings" button to launch the Internet E-mail Settings window.

4. In the "Advanced" tab change the outgoing port to 587

5. Press "OK"

 

Mac Mail Client

1. Select "Preferences"  under the "Mail" menu at the top of the screen

2. Select "Edit SMTP Server List" in the "Outgoing Mail Server" drop down

3. In the "Advanced" Tab change the port to "587" and hit "OK"

 

Mozilla Thunderbird

1. Select "Account Settings" in the "Tools" Menu

2. Select "Outgoing Server"

3. Select your account click "Edit"

4. Change the port to 587.

5. Click OK on both windows

 

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

1. Open the Settings App

2. Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"

3. Select your Account

4. Select your email address

5. Select the outgoing mail server

6. Select the Primary Server

7. Change "Server Port" to 587

8. Click "Done"
